The samples of the study collected by trawling operations conducted between June 2015 and August 2016 in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. A total of 28 specimens of Epinephelus aeneus were sampled in the period and their length and weight distributions were found to be between 18.5-88.0 cm and 78-8345 g respectively. As well as some relationships between length, width and weight of sagittal otolith of the species were described, these were compared with the fish length and weight too. Age readings were carried out from transversal sections of sagittal otoliths and it was determined that the samples were distributed between 1+ to 10 years old.
